We are a congregation in the midst of exciting transitions!
We are claiming the Church’s mission to "to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ."
We are engaged in an intentional process of reconciliation and peace-making within and without our doors.
We have been working with the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center, a non-profit ministry, working to encourage the nonviolent transformation of conflict in relationships in homes, workplaces, schools, churches, and throughout our world. We are working to become effective ministers of the Gospel in all aspects of our lives.
If you are looking for a community of faith that is comfortable with asking questions, willing to experience doubt and faith, learning to live and appreciate diversity in our midst; perhaps St. James is for you.
